Upcoming meeting

The 665th SASRE General Meeting will be held at the Fhata Lushaka Boardroom, Koedoespoort Workshops, on Thursday, 27th July 2017 at 17h00.

Joseph Nethathe, Head of Rolling Stock at Railway Safety Regulator will present a paper entitled: ‘Impact of climate change to Rail Industry.’

About the speaker

Mr Joseph Nethathe is the Head of Rolling Stock at the Railway Safety Regulator. His position includes amongst others, conducting technical audits in the field of Rolling stock, provide technical inputs in development of Standards, Regulations and Guides in support of the RSR Act. Previous roles include Research and Development in brake systems for different types of Rolling Stock at Transnet Freight Rail in the Technology Management department.

Mr Nethathe holds a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Pretoria and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
