Industry Visit: Rely Intracast
On March 30th 2017, a group of SASRE members was hosted at Rely Intracast, an investment casting company in Boksburg. Rely specialises in the manufacturing of investment castings in all air melted alloys including stainless steels, speciality heat and wear resistant alloys and non-ferrous alloys
The SASRE group were taken through the history of Rely, and its path from general to investment casting, the technology itself. We were then walked through the investment casting process, from smelting to finishing.
